If you like your time in the countryside to go with more of a swing, the whole area is a golfer's paradise with excellent courses at Liphook and Hindhead. Alternatively, if your approach to nature is more relaxed, the Champneys and Old Thorns Hotel & Resort are both nearby.
Craving some hustle and bustle? Convenient village shopping less than half a mile away in Liphook, and just a short drive further are the vibrant centres of Winchester, Guildford and Haslemere. Bramshott Place is very well connected, trains from Liphook station can get you to London in just over an hour.
History
There was a manor and estate at Bramshott at the time of Domesday. By the late 16th Century, John Hooke, a wealthy cloth merchant, purchased the estate and built a splendid Tudor mansion for him and his family. When he died in 1640, he was succeeded by his son Henry. In 1850, the estate was owned by the Earle family and many of the original buildings were demolished and a new house, known as Bramshott Grange, was built. Between 1921 and 1982, the house became the King George Hospital - but this site has since been redeveloped. To this day, the original Tudor gatehouse still stands in splendid isolation. With its beautifully carved brickwork and intricate detailing, it's a proud monument to a colourful history; a little reminder of what went on before and it certainly makes the village feel like a very special place.
Personal Care
In time, someone's needs may go beyond simple domestic support. Personal care in the form of assistance, for example, with bathing, dressing, medication and nutrition may be required. Residents are of course entirely free to purchase personal care services from the provider of their choice. For added peace of mind, all properties are fitted with a 24/7 remote answering service and there is on-call maintenance outside office hours. Should additional support be something you need, either now or in the future, we can signpost you to local CQC registered domiciliary care providers.
Our aim is to enable residents to maximise their wellbeing, despite the challenges that can come with age. Indeed, evidence is mounting that living in a village environment like ours can significantly reduce the risk of needing to move to a care home. However, if this happens, we would work with you and your family to find an appropriate solution.
