Description

DRUMALLAN
ISLE OF GIGHA

***SUBSTANTIAL PRICE REDUCTION***

Generously proportioned throughout this substantial DETACHED BUNGALOW sits amidst a tranquil setting having truly glorious views overlooking the Bay towards Kintyre.  The garden grounds, which include an off road parking space, comprise neatly maintained areas of lawn to the front, side and rear bounded by a mixture of mature shrubs and plants.

The Island of Gigha is one of the most southerly and certainly one of the most beautiful  of the Hebridean Islands being  seven miles long by a mile and a half wide with white sandy beaches, clear blue waters and stunning views.  Since the "community buy-out" over 20 years ago the Island of Gigha “Gods Island” has been transformed with a growing population and a variety of new commercial activities to complement both farming and tourism.  Achamore Gardens is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island, flourishing in Gigha's warm microclimate, the 54-acre Gardens hosts many notable and unusual plants and trees from around the world.

There is an hourly ferry service from the island to the mainland, landing at the village of Tayinloan, which takes less than 30 minutes.  The picturesque fishing village of Tarbert is about twenty minutes north by car, as is Kennacraig where the ferry sails daily to the Isle of Islay.  Other transport links include five daily buses to and from Glasgow, and Campbeltown Airport having twice daily flights to and from Glasgow with an in-flight time of only 25 minutes.

The entrance porch leads through to an extremely wide  ‘T’ Shaped hallway  accessing an excellent , very  spacious  dining kitchen having a good range of both floor and wall mounted units and a superb view across out towards the Bay.  The utility room provides excellent storage space and has a door leading to the rear garden.   As well as a splendid sitting room there is also a very comfortable lounge which could be used as a separate dining room or 5th bedroom.

The family bathroom is well appointed and all four bedrooms are bright, airy rooms with excellent storage space, the master bedroom in particular having a superb sea view and the benefit of an en-suite shower room.   Full Double Glazing.   Electric heating.
