Charneca de Caparica is a Portuguese village in the municipality of Almada, having been the seat of the extinct Portuguese parish of the same name, with an area of 23.14 km² and corresponding to approximately 35% of the area of the municipality of Almada. According to the 2011 Census, it has a resident population of 29,763 inhabitants, which represents an increase of around 46% compared to the 2001 Census. It was separated from the parish of Caparica on 4 October 1985 (Law no. 125/85) and elevated to the category of town on 2 July 1993 (Law no. 35/93).

Its territory today forms part of the Union of parishes of Charneca de Caparica and Sobreda.
