The heating is natural gas, autonomous and separate between the living and sleeping areas. The finely decorated staircase is equipped with a fully functional Stannah stairlift. The balcony and terraces of this charming house are equipped with an automatic irrigation system. All systems and all coverings have been recently renovated. FIUGGI AND THE CIOCIARIA

Fiuggi is an ancient settlement and through the ages was widely known for its healing waters (Acqua di Fiuggi) and long and storied history. Many famous individuals visited here and the medicinal properties of the water attracted attention from across europe. It is therefore in effect a very ancient spa town and this is reflected in the streets and the rather grand buildings which are the envy of other towns in the area. The house offered for sale in this listing is located in the very centre of the old town, the upper part of the city elevated above the surrounding area and is as pretty to look at from afar as it is when wandering the quiet neighbourhoods, charming streets and lively public spaces.

Fiuggi is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy. The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer. And at the other extreme of temperature, although Fiuggi itself is temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes.
