Built in 1732, the George Inn is set within the stunning picturesque village of Thoralby, in the Richmondshire District of North Yorkshire within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and lying south of Aysgarth where the incredible Aysgarth Falls can be seen. It is within a mile of both Newbiggin and West Burton and is 23.5 miles south west of the County Town of Northallerton.
 
The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside and rolling hills, meaning it is a very popular area for tourists, including many overseas. The George Inn occupies a character two-storey character detached public house of stone construction under a pitched slate roof and briefly comprises:-
GROUND FLOOR
The main entrance is at the front of the building via a vestibule. Once in the bar, you are greeted by a wonderful feeling of history with traditional beams and beautiful wood style SERVERY. There is wooden seating/benches for (24) with a gas fireplace at one end of the pub and a simply divine open brick multi fuel burner at the other. Around all the walls are a collection of ornaments from all over the world although many of these are the owners private possessions which just add to the splendour of this hidden gem. There is a darts board in the corner and the walls are clad in wood panels.
 
A well equipped CATERING KITCHEN is positioned at the rear and has its own access, adjoined to the kitchen is another good-sized PREPARATION ROOM. There is a CONSERVATORY at the back of the premises which has open stone walls and incredible views out over the back garden and hills with cattle grazing.
 
The CELLAR is positioned close to the bar and is set at the bar level. Very well organised and nicely cooled with the relevant equipment, as you would expect from a Cask Marque Accredited member.

The first floor is a good size and could be adapted for a couple of letting rooms if required by the new owner to maximise profits. The first floor, currently consists of, a guest toilet at the top of the stairs, a very spacious lounge which looks out onto the dales at the front of the pub, a large double bedroom with recently modernised en-suite bathroom which is finished to a high standard, a family dining room and a study at the end of the building.

LETTING ROOMS : There is a detached stone building at the side of the pub which has been converted into two stunning large double rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

EXTERIOR : There is a car park for at least 7 cars at the front of the pub along with outdoor seating. The gents and ladies are both accessed via outside doors but are within the main building, both have been recently modernised. The ladies WC also has a laundry room with space for a washing machine and other white goods.
 
The George Inn also benefits from another outbuilding which is currently used as a store/fridge/freezer room and houses the boiler for the two letting rooms.
 
At the rear is a stunning private garden with incredible views again, this has potential to be used as a beer garden.
