Platform Housing has a Retirement Living scheme called Hazeland Court conveniently located in Lutterworth. Just seven miles north of Rugby in the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It offers great access to the road network including the M6/A14, M1, M69 and the A5. It is 15 miles south of Leicester close to M1 Junction 20.

This pretty market town offers many amenities including an abundance of shops, ranging from independent retailers to national chains, and supermarkets, including Morrisons and Waitrose. There are numerous restaurants, pubs and wine bars and a number of hotels including a traditional coaching inn.

Hazeland Court is a scheme with 37 homes. There are non-resident management staff and a 24-hour Careline alarm service. There is a lift to get to the upper floors, residents communal lounge, laundry room, guest facilities, hobby room and a salon for a visiting hairdresser. Hazeland Court is within walking distance of the town centre, good car parking and there is an adjacent supermarket.

To be eligible you must be aged 60+ or 55+ if you are in receipt of Personal Independence Payments or Disability Living Allowance.

We have a one-bedroom first floor apartment available now.

Please note, applicants for upper-floor apartments must be able to safely use stairs in the event of an emergency.

Each apartment is self-contained and unfurnished. Briefly consists of:-

You will be required to pay one month’s rent of £714.93 in advance prior to signing for the property. Please note our preferred method of payment is via Direct Debit and we accept and Universal Credit.

Please note if claiming Universal Credit / some service charges are not covered by these benefits. This includes an administration charge £4.94pcm, £8.15pcm towards the cost of support, £9.45pcm for heating, and £11.61pcm for water supply for this apartment and an optional £3.73pcm for a personal alarm.

If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.

Please be aware /Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy.

If you are successful in being offered this property you will be contacted by the Lettings Officer and you will need to complete an application form. At this stage the Lettings Officer will confirm the rent and service charges.

Pets are considered in accordance with the Tenancy Management Policy. They may be considered with restrictions and on a case by case basis.
