Stretham is a small village comprising a village store/post office, situated on the A10 located on the River Great Ouse. The name means "homestead" or "village on the road" (possibly Roman). Ely is easily accessible with its fine Cathedral and shopping facilities and where repairs, re-fuelling and provisions can be purchased. Further facilities for boat repairs, re-fuelling and shopping can be found in Littleport and Cambridge.
The Marina is ideally located for visits to Ely, St Ives, Huntingdon and Bedford to the south west and to Kings Lynn in the north east.
