Description

SPACIOUS LIGHT AND AIRY FIRST FLOOR FLAT – 2 double bedroom upper flat in a terrace of similar properties which is ready for a new owner to put their own stamp on it. The property is built in brick, and has full uPVC double glazing and a tiled roof. Internally the flat benefits from: well-proportioned rooms, high ceilings, updated bathroom and a super-sized  lounge. There is unrestricted parking to the front and rear and lovely views from the lounge and kitchen out over the allotments to the river beyond. All positioned in a great location providing easy access to major road links, schools, local facilities and even the beach, with Cambois Beach only a ten-minute drive away. Perfect for the first-time buyer, down sizer or for the discerning property investor to add to a portfolio.

Choppington is a village in south east Northumberland, England, about 17 miles (27 km) north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It lies across the River Wansbeck from Ashington (approx. 3 miles), along with Stakeford, about halfway between the busier larger Towns of Ashington and Morpeth (approx. 4 miles).

Choppington is a mainly residential village with a good community spirit which offers plenty of local facilities including pubs: shops including independent traders: Post Office: Pharmacy: a Social Club: Schools and good public transport and commuter links.

More extensive shopping and leisure facilities can be found in the nearby towns of Ashington, Morpeth and Cramlington which all offer an array of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.

Access to the property is gained from the rear, which is typical for these properties, via the rear yard. The yard is fully fenced and has a concrete base with an outlook over garden allotment land and the River Wansbeck beyond offering plenty of opportunities for the dog owner or avid walker to stretch their legs.

Entrance is gained through a part glazed UPVC door which opens to the newly installed staircase which lead up to the living accommodation.

From the landing and to our left there is a door through to bedroom number two, next to which we have a door through to the master bedroom, with the door to the lounge after that.

All rooms in the property have high ceilings which enhances the sense of space.

The first room off to our left is a double bedroom which has been exposed back to the brick and would require some works of completion but offers a double room with a window out over the front elevation.

Next to this we have the master bedroom which is a really generous size and offers oodles of space for a king-sized bed and bedroom furniture. There is a large window out over the front elevation.

The lounge is next to this and again is a superb size with masses of space for even the largest suite of furniture. There is a feature fire surround with a former gas fire insert (no longer in use), an alcove cupboard and a large window allowing in plenty of natural light and offering a pleasing view down the river. This room is currently being utilised as a gym and workshop and has oak laminate flooring. From here there is a door through to the kitchen.

The kitchen would benefit from updating but is a good size and offer more of those lovely views down the river. There are; plenty of wall and base units which are white with chrome handles and complimentary laminate worktops. There is space for a freestanding fridge/freezer, a freestanding electric cooker with extraction unit over, plumbing for a washing machine and a composite sink with a mixer tap over. The walls are fully tiled in a black tile. From here there is a door through to a rear lobby area and a further door through to the bathroom.

The bathroom has been updated and offers a modern white suite comprising of:  a larger bath with a shower over, pedestal washbasin and a low level close coupled WC. There is: a modesty window over the side elevation. The walls are fully tiled in and oversized tile and there are complimentary tiles to the floor in a darker shade of grey.

Externally there is a shared rear yad with timber gated access out to the rear. Out from the rear lane there is access to some allotments and lovely Riverside walks.

All in all we have on offer a fabulous opportunity for someone to buy a property to complete to their own specification. Situated in a fabulous location for the commuter and has lovely Riverside walks on the door step. There are plenty of facilities to hand with a wider range of amenities in close proximity in larger neighbouring Towns. Perfect for the first-time buyer, down sizer of property investor and must be viewed to be appreciated.
