Description

The property is approached via a long driveway that runs through the grounds for over 350 ft before sweeping past the front of the house and on to the garaging and workshop. The original single storey element of the property now provides all but one of the bedrooms and family room, whilst the 2 storey extension built in the late 1980’s, has a very spacious first floor principal suite overlooking the garden along with the more formal reception areas on the ground floor. Whilst Bine Nursery has been much loved and cared for by the current owners who have been there since 1994, it now offers a wonderful opportunity for another family to enjoy this amazing setting and make it all their own with some sympathetic refurbishment or re-development.
The grounds and gardens are sure to be of interest to anyone with ‘green fingers’ and have a wide variety of mature shrubs and specimen trees along with flower beds and borders. The original walled garden of the old nursery has long gone but the chimney stack for the greenhouse heating still makes a nice feature. The Basingstoke canal sits on the northern boundary and it is possible (as the current owners do) to apply for a licence to walk directly onto the canal banks via a private gate and enjoy the waterside setting. Conveniently, the mature trees provide good screening from passing boats or walkers on the opposite bank.

Situation

Located just on the edge of this popular Hampshire village, about 350 yards from the local hostelry and adjoining the Basingstoke canal and open farmland. The village has a rich local history whilst the larger towns of Odiham and Fleet are both around 3 miles away offer extensive shopping facilities and a wide variety of restaurants and coffee shops. If you prefer fine dining then the Four Seasons Hotel is only 2.5 miles down the lane. Fleet also has a main line train service with regular connections to Waterloo taking less than 50 minutes. Junction 5 of the M3 is just over 6 miles away and provides a great link to The West Country, London and to Heathrow Airport which is around 26 miles away. There are a number of good schools within the local area including three infant schools, one being in Dogmersfield. Courtmoor and Calthorpe Park Secondary School are well regarded and there are a number of excellent private schooling options within easy reach.
