Description

Overview

426 Tilehouse Lane is a handsome, traditional, 4 double-bedroom, semi-detached family home, enjoying a delightful ‘semi-rural’ situation in this highly desirable residential area.  The well-proportioned character accommodation currently extends to in excess of 1750 square feet, and benefits from a recent new roof and central heating, in addition to planning permission for a sizeable, single storey rear extension, thus creating additional contemporary, open-plan, living space, currently very much in demand.

Vendor Comments

With a small child, and another on the way, living off a busy high street, we chose this home to give us more peace and open space. It has been everything we could have wished for and more.

The upstairs layout with four, large double bedrooms works so well. We’ll take with us many memories of the children chasing each other between bedrooms over the large, open landing.

Downstairs, the snug room is where we watch family movies together. While in the summer, the main lounge usually has the doors flung open to traipse in and out of the garden.

The garden is one of the jewels of the home, we feel. It has given us so many adventures, from bug hunting, tree climbing, den building, to football and tennis matches. We have hosted birthday parties for 30 kids, and many BBQs for the whole extended family.

And when you stop to listen, it is so quiet. So much so, there is a family of Muntjac deer we see regularly, blue tits nesting each year in the bird box outside the lounge, owls at night and some years a cuckoo calling (these are quite rare!). You just do not find houses in Solihull with this type of land.

We had plans to extend the ground floor, opening out the kitchen and lounge, and could easily have stayed for another 10 years. We even got as far as receiving planning permission. But a change in circumstances means there is an opportunity too good for us to turn down, to move closer to our family.

We’re sure the home will be just as perfect for another family as it has been for us.
