Cortijo Utopia

Located in the Alcaucin valley, this Cortijo is 2 separate properties. The main house consists of 4 beds and 4 bathrooms and is currently run as a successful B&B . The second property is a reformed ruin and has 3/4 bedrooms.

The property is situated in a very quiet area accessed by a tarmac road and there is separate parking to the side.

The gardens are well maintained and have an abundance of shrubs, fruit trees and olive trees on an automatic irrigation system.

The main property is on 3 levels with feature arches on the wrap around lower terrace, and a further terrace on the upper level. There is ample outside space for dining and entertaining with stunning views to Mount Maroma from the “Hamman” style outdoor pool and bar.

From the living area the internal stairs take you to the first floor where the main front door leads out onto a pretty courtyard patio.

A further bedroom is on this level which has a shower and separate WC and fitted wardrobes.

The next level has the master bedroom which occupies all the roof space, which makes it extremely spacious. A Velux window adds light and there is a lage ensuite, again in the traditional style.

All bedrooms have storage, built in wardrobes, flyscreens and A/C and are finished to a very high specification.

Property 2 - The fully reformed finca has a large storage area on the (lower) ground floor, with evidence of the old bread oven, and a lounge and Spanish style kitchen.

Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, one currently used as storage. Both are traditional, having high ceilings and small, shuttered Cortijo styled windows.

There are 2 further bedrooms on the next level which are currently used as Beauty Therapy rooms.

This is a rare and interesting property, traditionally built but sympathetically and beautifully maintained to a high standard by the current owners.
