Description

“Affectionately known as the Hamlet of St Werburghs, the community spirit on Narroways Road is like nothing we’ve ever experienced before, and unlikely ever will again. Our favourite thing about our home itself is the beautiful light. The flood of light throughout the house, even on the greyest of days makes it feel so welcoming, and the garden gets the sun throughout the day too. Narroways Nature Reserve - accessed via a little lane at the end of our cul-de-sac – has been the year-round backdrop for our time as a young and growing family and is the perfect way to drop down into the heart of St Werburghs for coffee & brunch at our home from home, the Farm Cafe. Popti burgers, Wiper & True pints, The Miners Arms (best pub in Bristol) & the Farm Pub garden. Family meals out at Napolita, fruit & veg from Chaya, delicious breads & organic goodies from Better Foods, and samosas from Sonnies. Parents endlessly chat away in Mina Road Park and let’s not forget Purdown, Eastville Park (with epic wildlife lake) & Snuff Mills all nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better house, neighbours and surroundings to have started a family in Bristol. We will miss Narroways Road a lot.”

Narroways Road is located on the peripheral of St Werburghs, an area of inner-city Bristol in high demand due to the strong community feel and beautifully designed homes. Sitting within touching distance of the Narroways Nature Reserve, the road offers plenty of green space, within an exciting area, consisting of families and professional couples. St Werburghs is home to a number of popular cafes, shops and attractions including The Better Food Company shop, Napolita Café, Wiper & True Brewery, as well as the Undercover Rock-climbing centre in St Werburghs Church. Bloc climbing gym, the largest bouldering centre in Bristol is just around the corner. The area’s popularity derives in a large part from its sense of community, but also from its close proximity to Bristol City Centre, Greenbank and Cheltenham Road. The nearby M32 makes the area ideal for commuters, providing easy access to Bristol Parkway and in turn to the M4. St Werburgh's Primary School is very central to the area and has a good reputation, enhancing the pull of the area to families. St Werburgh's Nursery School is also close by and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. The St Werburghs's City Farm and Café are well known throughout the city and combined with the local allotments are a good example of the area’s individuality and independence from surrounding suburbs.

This lovely period home situated on the desirable Narroways Road has been well maintained and upgraded by the current owners, offering contemporary style whilst still retaining plenty of period charm. On the ground floor, there is a bright front-facing sitting room with a feature fireplace, while to the rear, an open plan kitchen/dining area with french doors that lead out to the newly landscaped garden with plenty of seating space and a handy garden shed. Upstairs, you'll find two spacious bedrooms along with a family bathroom, while the converted attic offers an additional bedroom and a versatile office/storage space.
