Dover, with its docks and cross-Channel services, is seven miles away and provides quick access to the Continent as well as London St Pancras via the Rail Link. Travelling from nearby Walmer (about 2 miles) takes only 1 hour and 15 minutes. There is also a fast train service from Deal.
