This well kept Victorian end terrace is perfectly located for someone wanting to live with the buzz that comes from being in a town centre yet with the feeling that you are tucked away almost out of sight, in a way that gives the home an almost village atmosphere. And Mold, where new social venues seem to be opening on an almost monthly basis certainly does provide that buzz but in this home, you can enjoy the town while remaining slightly aloof from it, retreating to your backwater when the mood takes you. The best of both worlds? Very possibly.
Entering the inner hall with its quality wood laminate flooring we find a door on our right into the formal lounge or, in the days when this home was built, the 'front parlour', which was reserved for special occasions and children were rarely if ever admitted. Those days have passed however and now, space is considered as being of greater importance and to this end, the room is currently seeing service as a third bedroom, a role it fulfils admirably. There is all the space you could want for the double bed and all the accompanying free standing furniture and yet, if large scale renovations and alterations are part of your long term plans there is always the option of removing the back wall to make a large through lounge which would completely alter the character of the home.
The door at the top of the hall past the lateral staircase opens into the rear sitting room which to be honest, rather took me by surprise with the generosity of its dimensions. Light is provided by the side facing picture window and the impression of space is further accentuated by the clever use of a sliding door in the rear wall what takes us through into the separate dining room.
In its original form I suspect that this was the kitchen but times have changed. Although not the biggest dining room on the planet it none the less accommodates a sensibly sized suite of table and chairs, though your silver service dinner soirees may need to be adjusted a little...
Passing through here into the kitchen we find a pleasing and modern space containing everything today's MasterChef inspired cook could ever want. Unless they are feeling particularly pretentious of course. The size of the home dictates that the kitchen is laid out in a galley format but the way it has been thought out shows that this need not be the disadvantage it is often thought to be, there being more than enough room for two people to work together and do so without wanting to kill each other. Well not immediately anyway. There is a side door in the kitchen giving access to the rear yard. There is no garden as such owing to the room taken up by the extended kitchen but after all, if the sun is shining and you've space for two deckchairs and a BBQ, what more do you need?
Returning through the sitting room and climbing the transverse mounted stairs, we turn right at the top into the main bedroom. Overlooking the front of the home this mirrors the size of the front lounge beneath it and as such, makes a similarly comfortable bedroom with space for all the free standing wardrobes needed to keep up with the vagaries of fashion. It also takes advantage of the home's end terrace status by having dual aspect windows which makes it refreshingly bright.
Crossing to the other side of the stairwell, on our left is the door into the second bedroom. This 'L' shaped room is primarily a single room but whoever occupies it need never feel short changed as it offers not only space for a wardrobe but also a large storage cupboard above the adjacent staircase.
Past here we come to the family bathroom which if I honest, could possibly benefit from a slight refresh but nevertheless remains perfectly serviceable and well equipped with a shower above the traditional bath to accompany the expected pedestal hand basin and lavatory.

All in all this is the ideal first time purchase for a young couple just embarking on their home owning adventures, being well presented with all the major expenses having been already sorted, The kitchen for example, has been fitted to the sort of standard you would aspire to but to have it as a starting point is a serious plus point, However there is still scope for improvement in the possibility of making the two reception rooms into a large open plan space Above all however, is its location. If you want town centre living, as close to schools and all the social amenities that Mold has to offer, this really is hard to beat.
