I fell in love with this boat when walking around the harbour and looking for a new start in central Bristol.

The previous 3 owners were women who had excellent interior taste fitting out the insides immaculately and with attention to detail.

My first winter was cold on the water as I didn’t have a log / solid fuel burner but that was offset by the sunrises and sunsets and swans pecking the weed off the waterline always waking me with a smile (as they are the alarm clock you can’t and don’t want to turn off).

In my first spring they were joined by their signets. The early morning shoosh of the air balloons passing overhead was always a welcome sight in the early summer mornings. I spent 6 months of the summer on the hardstand in the boatyard having professionals attend to the mechanical and engineering improvements that were needed to make the boat safer and more functional and that had been honestly overlooked. It had to meet the fantastic interior works standards.

When works were completed, I had the same Surveyor come and survey the job list he had given me and had a post work survey report which removes the need to have the boat lifted for the next 7 years due to the epoxy hull coating and antifouling.
What do I like about boat life? being so much closer to the ever-changing weather and nature.

What do I like about Bristol? It’s always funky and the people so friendly.
City centre life with everything within walking distance, makes life so much easier and less cluttered.
