Description
Holmefield House and the nearby Trellick Tower was designed by the world-famous architect Ernö Goldfinger and opened in 1972. Considered a classic example of the Brutalist movement, these buildings have been awarded Grade II listings in recognition of their importance in local and national history. The buildings have appeared in a variety of films and T.V. shows as well as being considered a pop cultural icon, meaning it can be seen in everything from the 1998 film For Queen and Country and Paddington in 2014 to the idents for the 2012 London Olympics and even in Fabulous Feasts in 2024.
Situated just around the corner from Portobello Road and Golborne Road in the heart of West London, there is a plethora of world famous attractions to enjoy year round. From the incredible markets, independent shops, diverse restaurants and amazing cafes to the iconic film locations and greenery, such as Meantime Gardens and Hyde Park, there is a never ending range of opportunities to discover and explore on the doorstep. To compliment this, Westbourne Park and Paddington International stations are both just a short walk away along the Grand Union Canal, which means that there are a wealth of easily accessed transport links connecting Holmefield House to all of the Capital and even beyond thanks to the international and national rail links in Paddington.
