Description

Spacious and extended detached bungalow, close to Whitchurch and Rhiwbina villages. This bungalow features 3 bedrooms, shower room, large kitchen/diner and generous size lounge. The bungalow has off road parking, a beautiful large rear garden and is available with no onward chain.

Location

The location is great for getting into central Cardiff by bus, train or car, as it is less
than 3 miles away. Cyclists can pick up the Taff Trail for a pleasant ride into town.
The nearest train stations are Whitchurch (1 miles or Rhiwbina (0.7 miles).
Travel by Bus. Routes T4, T14C, 400 and 600 stop in Manor Way itself and Cardiff
Bus numbers 21 and 23 can be caught from Pantbach Road, which is, incidentally
where you'll find your nearest grocery store / off licence.

This is one of very few one storey bungalows left in the area. That said, there is a
vast range of dorma roofs on display and even full two-level extensions in the streets
nearby, so getting planning permission should not be an issue if you needed more space.
One of the best features of this plot is the rear garden. It's totally enclosed and private,
with well established shrubs, plants and two patios - one near the house and
one at the end of the garden. Also at the end of the garden is a small 'wild nature'
feature which has a pond and various plants designed to attract birds, bees and
butterflies. There is even a heron who visits the pond every year on his travels!

Nearby amenities

There are shopping areas in Whitchurch Village and Rhiwbina Village which are
within easy walking distance. Each has lots of places to eat and meet, pubs and
small supermarkets. Whitchurch has slightly more variety of shops including
Peacocks, Iceland, hardware stores, jewellers and lots of charity shops.
The nearest Post Office is in Birchgrove-about a 10-minute walk.
Major supermarkets within easy reach are Tesco Metro, Tesco Extra, Morrisons,
Asda, Lidl and Aldi.
Whitchurch has several venues which put on live music and a weekly 'jam' night is
held at the Earl Haig British Legion Club.
Sports facilities nearby include Powerleague Football Club, Pantmawr Golf Club,
Rhiwbina Tennis Club, Whitchurch-Heath Cricket Club, Whitchurch Bowling Club,
Whitchurch Fencing Club, Whitchurch Rugby Ground and so much more!

Schools

There are a variety of primary schools in the vicinity in Birchgrove and Whitchurch, in
addition to Welsh Medium, faith schools and Steiner Schools. The bungalow is in the
catchment area for Whitchurch High School who has produced such stars as Sam
Warburton, Gareth Bale and Geraint Morgan to name but a few.
