We are delighted to be able to offer this unique building plot in Stari Grad town on Hvar Island. This building plot in Stari Grad's "new build area" is designated as part residential and part commercial building land and comes under the "M" building land classification in Stari Grad's urban plans. The building plot is approximately 1,300 sqm, which allows a detached or semi-detached building. The general rules for this plot classification allow 30% to be built on, giving a large base of some 300 sqm. The maximum permitted height is eight and a half meters, allowing three floors: the basement, ground and first floor. There must also be a minimum "green area" of approximately fifty per cent.

The location is perfect, being about five minute's walk from the old town centre and in the other direction are several small beaches, everything is on the doorstep!

The town of Stari Grad can be traced back to 2,000BC, when it was initially called Pharos, after the Greek city of the same name. It has many little side streets where one can stumble upon the quaintest of family-owned restaurants offering a mouth-watering selection of local cuisine. Stari Grad also has a record-beating number of cafe bars, a prerequisite to Mediterranean life. The local area also boasts some excellent beaches in the vicinity.

Stari Grad ferry port, which lies on the outskirts of the town, is home to Jadrolinija, which offers a comprehensive service to the mainland with up to six ferry crossings in the summer months. Nearby, the town of Jelsa has a daily catamaran service run by Jadrolinija to Split via the town of Bol on Brac Island. While in the other direction, the famous town of Hvar is only a 20-minute drive.
