CHIETI - CHIETI PROVINCE

Chieti is both a city and capital of one of Abruzzos- four provinces. It even has the same name. The town boasts spectacular surroundings and lies on a panoramic hill set between the Majella mountains and the Adriatic. It is at a height of 330 metres above sea level and the profile of the San Giustino Cathedral, with its high bell tower, is recognisable from many kilometres away.

Chieti is one of Italy-s most ancient cities, dating to the 4th millennium BC. It then developed as a Roman City and later as an important medieval centre with Roman and medieval ruins side by side. The city is now divided into the upper, historic town and the rapidly developing industrial and commercial area, in the valley below, known as Chieti Scalo.

The population of 50,646 has access to all facilities including a university and hospital. There are also many schools, banks, shops and restuarants to choose from. Transport links to Pescara are good (only 15 minutes by car) and the train line from Rome to Pescara also stops in Chieti Scalo. There are frequent buses from the station to Chieti Alta.

The old town is compact and easily seen on foot. It is dotted with churches, museums, attractive civic architecture and enchanting piazzas. So much to admire.

Not to be missed is an impressive event, which is held each Good Friday, and is considered Italy-s oldest religious procession. It marks the start of Holy Week.

The Company

Abruzzo Property Italy is a trading entity of Italian Property Services Limited, a UK registered company with offices in both the UK and Italy. Since its incorporation in 2010, the company has been successfully working with clients to help them find their dream properties, mainly in the Italian Regions of Abruzzo and Molise.

What we do for you

We help you realise your Italian property dreams by providing exceptional, friendly and personal service. This is delivered in the selection of suitable properties to meet your initial brief, followed by arranging property viewings. Our network of specialists will guide you throughout the sales cycle with financial, translation and legal services until purchase completion. We aim to make the whole process both enjoyable and stress free!

An optional, post sales property management package, provides ease of mind while you adjust to your new culture and environment. We are always focused on your priorities and needs.

Our properties

We work with key residential and licensed agencies in Italy. Each of our associates brings to us a large and varied portfolio of properties. This allows us to provide you with the widest selection of properties in the Regions of Abruzzo and Molise and across all price ranges.

We market these properties on our website, Rightmove and social media channels. This gives them exposure to both a UK and worldwide audience. From a holiday home on the Adriatic coast to a permanent house in the historic town of Penne, we can find your ideal property. We can also suggest restoration projects and land allowing you to build your own.

Our services

We promote property for sale in Abruzzo and Molise on behalf of our network of Italian estate agents, all of whom are registered with the FIAIP (Federazione Italiana Agenti Immobilliari Professionali), which is the industry’s governing body. This ensures that all documents and the final contract, in relation to your purchase, will fully comply with Italian laws and provide you with complete protection.

We also market property on behalf of private property owners who may wish to deal with us directly for ease of language and locality. One of our local colleagues can visit the property to take photographs and prepare a property description, if required. Once again, the contract will be overseen by an FIAIP agent, ensuring peace of mind.

Once you decide to purchase a property and contact us, our sales team will analyse your detailed property requirements before conducting a thorough search of all the properties that might suit. The next stage is normally a trip to Abruzzo and Molise, not only to view a selection of these properties, but to relax and enjoy the local ambience. This is a vital part of the purchase process as the area will become an important feature in your future life. Not only do we advise on property viewings but we also facilitate the entire viewing trip with recommended places to stay and areas to explore.

Once a property is decided upon, we leverage our local network of professionals to assist you through the process of obtaining tax certificates, opening bank accounts, validating property deeds and local planning consent, through to the necessary translation of documents and obtaining the best possible currency rates for the purchase transaction. We can even put you in touch with companies specialising in Italian mortgages, if required.
