Description
Woodnook Cottage is a detached older style single storey property possibly either from between the Wars or later in the perhaps the 1950's. Sitting almost centrally within its plot the property sits up off the street and has gardens front and rear. Being gable fronted the size is deceptive as inside the accommodation comprises three bedrooms all off a central hallway, sitting/dining room across the rear along with kitchen and bathroom. Ceiling heights are good and window openings plentiful with glazing on all four sides.
Location
Rickinghall and adjoining village Botesdale form a most attractive location and street scene comprising varied and interesting period houses and cottages of which Woodnook Cottage is well positioned to enjoy. An extensive range of facilities are offered and include for example a well stocked Co Op supermarket, pubs, take-aways along with well regarded Primary School, Health Centre and Dentist Practice. The villages fall within catchment for Hartismere High School in Eye which in addition to be rated Outstanding by OfSTED includes a Sixth Form. Bus routes run through the village and since the A143 by-passed the villages in the 1990's the village has not only been significantly enhanced but also made more readily accessible from Bury St Edmunds and the A14 along with the coast to the east and of course Diss on the Norfolk Suffolk border.
Direction
Follow signs to Botesdale and Rickinghall from the A143. The villages are visually 'as one' and Woodnook Cottage is just in Rickinghall downhill opposite to the Co Op Supermarket which can serve as a landmark. A Sale Board is erected in order to assist in identification.
