More extensive facilities can be found in Cranbrook (4.2 miles), Rye (13.5 miles) and Tunbridge Wells (18.4 miles).

Rail links to London run from Etchingham (5.8 miles) and Staplehurst (10.2 miles) connecting to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Cannon Street and Charing Cross.

The A21 gives links to the M25, the coast, major motorway networks, Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the channel tunnel terminus.
