The entire area is managed by the Forestry Division of the National Park, which ensures the conservation of the natural environment through a restriction that prohibits new construction across the island of Elba, but allows the renovation of existing buildings.

The Elba Island is the third-largest island in the Tuscan Archipelago and can be easily reached by ferry from Piombino (about 1-hour journey) or from Livorno (about a 2-hour and 15-minute journey). By plane, Elba Island’s airport is located about 2 km from Marina di Campo, and it is easily accessible from any location on the island.
