The Area...
Chantemerle is one of the central villages in the SERRE CHEVALIER ski domain. It is quite typically alpine, and not overly commercialised. There is a good variety of restaurants bars and shops, and 2 modern lifts giving access to the 250 kms of piste on the whole ski area.
Serre Chevalier is one of the most "french" ski resorts of the top 15 in the country, with only a small percentage of lift passes being bought by non french holiday goers. It has a brilliant snow record, with a provencal climate which means more sunshine days than anywhere else in the Alps.
