We often use the term "new build spec" as the gold standard when it comes to quality of finish in the property sector; however our client took what was a brand new product when they bought it, and have gradually refined it over time, creating something really rather special, on the edge of our beloved village of Walton on the Hill.

The story behind Alexandra House is one that we have been privileged to be part of, from a single house on a big plot being betrothed to a life-long friend, from which two new homes were granted; and the rest, as they say, is history. So it was an absolute pleasure to return there; we had remained in some contact with the couple who bought it from new, and could see some of the things they had clearly done in recent years, but it was great to be back, and we weren`t disappointed. It`s honestly not that often that you return to a house , 10 years after it was built, and to find it in better shape than when you sold it to them; but that was certainly the case at Alexandra House.

We will let the pictures do most of the talking, together with the floor plan, but suffice to say, this is a beautiful example of a new home that was designed and built with it`s surroundings very much in consideration, combining traditional charm and character with modern execution and standards, both inside and out. It wasn`t perfect though, but the couple who bought it could see the answers and have skillfully made the enhancements with great style, including things like the resin bonded drive, whilst also extending it and putting on those beautiful wooden gates. So. all in all, we were delighted to be back and to be instructed to sell Alexandra House on their behalf, initially through our discreet marketing platform, and we look forward to hopefully showing you round in person, when we will be able to bestow the full virtues of this exceptionally stylish home, that offers over 4,700 sq ft of light and spacious living accommodation over three floors, as well as a double garage, great forecourt area and beautifully designed rear garden that is perfect for entertaining friends and family, or indeed just a quiet G and T on the top terrace by the recently created water feature!

Walton on the Hill is a quiet and quintessential village, nestled within the Surrey Hills area and in the heart of Walton Heath. With its famous pond, the village offers a range of shops including the popular Co-Op, independent bike shop, hairdressers, beauticians, chemist, Chinese take away, Independent woodfired Pizza place and much more besides. The village is well known for its range of pubs and restaurants including The Spaghetti Tree and The Chequers, and the community is served by St Peters church and an outstanding primary school that is located in the heart of the village. The renowned Walton Heath golf club is a private members club that is steeped in history, including being the location for the Ryder Cup in 1981 and more recently the British Masters and Women's Open.

The neighbouring village of Tadworth offers an additional selection of shopping facilities such as independent butcher, baker/cafe, fishmonger, dry cleaners, off license, opticians, gift shop and One Stop. There are a further selection of pubs and restaurants including The Bridge Mediterranean restaurant, Thai Cottage, Grumpy Mole, Dukes Head and Blue Anchor, and Tadworth station provides a regular service to London Bridge/Victoria. Tadworth Primary School is as popular as ever, as is the private co-ed offering, Chinthurst. The main towns of Reigate, Banstead and Epsom are all nearby and the M25 motorways are accessed at either junctions 8 or 9.
