 Varkiza is a district of Vari in the region of Attica, It administratively belongs to the municipality of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni. It is a coastal settlement of Attica and is located 20 kilometers south of the center of Athens. It is built on the Saronic coast and is a famous tourist resort. The location in which the settlement is spread is one of the most expensive areas in Greece. It is about 20 km from Athens. It is connected to Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport and the Attica Road via Vari – Koropiou Avenue and is connected to the center of Athens via Poseidonos Avenue.

Varkiza was originally a holiday area in which hotel units were gradually developed, while now it is a key part of the Athenian Riviera. In recent decades, Varkiza has developed into one of the most expensive areas of the southern suburbs of Attica to buy a home. The most well-known and organized beach of Varkiza with golden sand and shallow waters is considered the beach "Varkiza Resort Yabanaki" in which there are, among other things, sports facilities, parking areas, catering facilities, health facilities, clubs, testing rooms, and nautical facilities.

In addition to the beach, Varkiza has other nice beaches which are not organized, such as the Alkyonides - Canaries, the Eastern beach, the Island Beach, the Harbors and the Caves under Ribas, while it also has a very nice harbor where the summer residents
