Some words from the owner:
What made you want to buy the property? The location is perfect – we can easily walk to Elmstead Woods and Chislehurst stations, into Chislehurst High Street and to the Royal Parade. The house itself is really attractive and beautifully built in the 1930’s, detached and with room for 3/4 cars on the drive, set back and elevated above road level. We really liked the interior, with the huge period windows which flood the house with sunlight, a spacious feel, a blend of modern and more traditional features, four good sized bedrooms and plenty of storage. The garden had been cultivated over many years by the prior owners, who were dedicated gardeners, and is beautiful all year round. We immediately liked the feel of the house.
What do you love most about your property? There’s a calm, bright, spacious and happy feel about the house. Because it is elevated, and because there is no house directly opposite on Yester Road, it feels quite private, while also being very central. The house has beautiful views of hills and treetops from the huge period style windows, especially from upstairs.
Why are you selling? We are selling because we want to relocate to a different area of London.
What do you love about the area? We have lived in Chislehurst for over 8 years and have always loved the villages and its community feel with lots of independent businesses. It’s is very green, safe and peaceful, but with fast links to London, and the M25 as needed. We have found a great selection of local pubs, restaurants and shops, and some lovely walks in the woods and commons
