Location

Volissos is a picturesque village with a distinct vintage feel, pavement cafes, and pretty little narrow streets. It lies on the northwest coast of the island of Chios, approximately 40 km from the main town, port, and airport. It is 3 km from the little harbour and marina of Limnia and the nearest beaches of Lefkathia and Limnos.



Just a little further away is the 6 km long Managros beach, where it is always easy to find a quiet spot to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Aegean. Apart from these, whichever way you go up or down the coast, there are numerous beaches to choose from.



Volissos has quite a few tavernas, either in the village or down by the sea, offering a wide choice of delicious Greek food. The village has two mini markets, a butcher, a baker, and even a candle maker. A greengrocer comes around three times a week, while local fishermen bring around the catch of the day.



Lastly, there is a pharmacy, post office, police station and ATM. Volissos has a small clinic with a doctor available 24/7.
