Description

Enjoying a totally private and tranquil setting with superb views of the Preseli Mountains, Penlanfeigan is a hidden gem in this beautiful rural location. Positioned at the centre of approximately fourteen and a half acres of grounds, this four-bedroom home offers huge potential as a lifestyle purchase. Along with the impressive acreage, the property boasts substantial outbuildings and a separate block of four ensuite bedrooms, which previously provided rental accommodation. Penlanfeigan is presented for sale in excellent condition, with the current owners having spent their twenty-five years of ownership creating a truly impressive estate that lives up to its fabulous setting.

Upon entering the home from the front, you arrive in a welcoming entrance hallway, which also contains the staircase to the first floor. To your left, you find a charming formal dining room overlooking the front of the property. Behind this is a beautifully presented farmhouse kitchen, a joy for any chef. Opening off the kitchen, there is a handy walk-in pantry and a good-sized utility room, which also provides access to the rear of the home. Following the entrance hallway to the right, you pass a ground floor cloakroom before entering the lovely living room. With windows to both the front and rear, this space is ideal for relaxing or entertaining. Off this reception room, another fantastic feature awaits, the large garden room. With doors and windows opening onto the gardens, this room seamlessly blends the indoors with the outdoors, making it a wonderful addition to the home.

Climbing the stairs to the first floor, you arrive at the landing, which runs through the centre of the home. This level offers four double bedrooms, two of which enjoy ensuite bathrooms, along with a well-presented family bathroom. The master bedroom is particularly spacious, featuring a large ensuite and a walk-in dressing room. All of the bedrooms benefit from either fabulous views to the front, overlooking the surrounding countryside, or to the rear, taking in the beautiful gardens.

Externally, the estate offers a wide range of possibilities for a buyer. Extending to approximately fourteen and a half acres, the grounds include open paddocks, tranquil woodland walks, and wildflower meadows, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Preseli Hills. The current owners have planted thousands of trees during their time at Penlanfeigan, enhancing the sense of privacy and tranquillity that makes this estate so special.

In addition to several large block and steel barns, the estate also includes a detached block of four ensuite bedrooms, which offers a myriad of possibilities for a buyer. Opposite this building, there is a large steel and block workshop with a stone façade, providing significant potential for conversion (subject to planning) or serving as a base for a rural enterprise, hobbyist or business. For buyers with an equestrian interest, this building could be transformed into luxurious stabling, with excellent grazing and riding opportunities nearby. Additionally, a park home has been sited on the property in recent years, with a concrete slab, electricity, drainage, and water connections available should further accommodation be required.

While Penlanfeigan enjoys complete privacy and peace in this superb rural setting, it remains well connected to local towns. A ten-minute drive north brings you to the bustling market town of Cardigan. This unique combination of convenience and seclusion is a rare find. Whether you're looking to run a business from home, pursue equestrian interests, or simply enjoy the wonderful privacy and space, this exceptional estate has something to offer. Standing in the middle of Penlanfeigan’s beautiful grounds, watching the sun set over the hills with nothing but birdsong as your companion, it’s hard to imagine anywhere better.
