Location
Valras-Plage, an old fishing village, is located in the Occitanie region of France. Being a seaside resort on the shores of the Mediterranean, nearby Béziers is about 10 kilometers away. Therefore, the village is one of the preferred beaches of the Biterrois, as the inhabitants of Béziers are called. During the summer months, it's also a popular tourist destination.Over the years, Valras-Plage has managed to retain its traditional village feel while modernising its infrastructure. It became an independent commune in the early 1930s, after being attached to Sérignan, and from then on has continued to develop, notably through its marina.Situated at the mouth of the River Orb, Valras-Plage does not boast much in the way of architectural heritage, but is not lacking in charm, particularly thanks to its unspoilt natural surroundings. There are plenty of restaurants, as well as water sports and leisure activities, as well as hiking and other outdoor sports.
