Description
House:
There is a front entrance, but it is the rear entrance that is generally used to enter the house. This door opens onto a hallway with a bathroom to the left with bath, separate shower, W.C., basin and bidet. Across the hall from the bathroom is the door to the kitchen. The hallway also has a staircase up to the master bedroom and a door to the front of the house. The polished pine staircase takes you up to the spacious master en-suite bedroom that has a vaulted ceiling and lovely original stone walls. Back in the hallway is the kitchen door that gives access to the fully-fitted kitchen with painted pine base and wall units and polished granite work surfaces. Here you will find a sink, electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, fridge freezer and a microwave. By the fireplace (not now in use) is a door to the rear terrace and another door to the lounge/dining room. The spacious lounge has high quality ochre-coloured floor tiles and a wood burner to compliment the central heating system with its pellet burner boiler.
The second en-suite bedroom is located on the gable-end of the house. This bedroom is currently being used as storage. Opposite the second bedroom is the shower/boiler room located not far from the pool. The boiler room houses the pellet burner and hot water cylinder that can be heated by the pellet burner, solar panels and also by immersion heater.
Two Octagonal annexes:
These superbly designed structures were added recently and offer a very different type of accommodation. Each one has a fully-tiled, good size bathroom with shower, W.C. and basin. There is a spacious studio area with kitchenette, double bed, sitting room/TV area and electric water heater. These are ideal for family/friends and would make wonderful rental units being located not too close to the house.
Exterior:
A large sliding gate opens onto the huge farmyard at the side of the house. Here you will find a garage, carport and kennels. Opposite the carport is the original circular threshing area with a newly added BBQ. Part of the the "Eira" is covered by a wooden pergola that provides shade when dinning alfresco in the hotter months. Just around the corner are the remains of a huge olive press dating back many years. There are a number of mature olive and fruit trees on the land as well as an area with raised beds that provide vegetables for the kitchen.
The tools and machines used to work the land are available to purchase at a separate price to the property.
This really is a very special property with only one small barn in the vicinity, ensuring total privacy. Access to the property is via tarmac and a crushed stone track with maybe 2 tractors a week passing by the country lane.
