Herdade das Fontes Bárbaras is located in a typical Alentejo hill, in the municipality of Castro Verde and has a wine-growing side and a rural tourism and wine-tourism project. The tourism project is inserted in the 162 hectares of the agricultural property, where the predominant culture is the vineyard
The tourism project, with 400 m², is composed of 6 suites, 2 living rooms, a games room, a library and an acclimatized swimming pool and an independent House, with 120m2 and 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy one of the two houses available: the "Vineyard House" and the "Big House" or make use of the "Pool Studio". The Houses allow privacy for each group of guests and the living room, swimming pool and games room are shared spaces. The maximum capacity is 12 adults and 8 children.
The property has 43 hectares of irrigated vineyard, 2 dams, 3 ponds and 2 boreholes, 2 warehouses for agricultural support, with approximately 600 m² and all the necessary equipment. It also has a fully functioning Winery, with 1000 m² and capacity for 800 thousand litres of wine and a Wine Tasting room. Recently, it also took the first steps in the production of Olive Oil.
