Overview. This is an excellent family home that we have fallen in love with and will appeal to a wide range of buyers. As soon as you step over the front door and into the bold and vibrant entrance hall, you get a feel of what this home offers. The sitting room and dining area flows from front to back and enjoys a double aspect. Our eyes were instantly drawn to the wood burner - perfect in those winter months and the wide bay that this home enjoys amplifies the flow of this room. A good idea was to convert the former garage, which is now a playroom or if needed, an office and has access to the terrace. Immediately by the rear door is a useful outdoor store cupboard. The kitchen overlooks the rear garden; the wood work surface is in keeping with the character of this home and there is plenty of storage space and integrated appliances. The flow of the first floor also works really well. To the front, bedroom three is in our opinion bigger than many third bedrooms you find in a house of this size. Currently set up as an office it would equally work well as a nursery or a child’s bedroom. The bedroom to the front is a great room; the bay provides that sense of space and there is a door which leads you to a storage room. We love this space – set up presently as storage for clothes, we could see this working brilliant as a teenagers gaming area. The bedroom that overlooks the rear garden is also a great size, whilst the family bathroom is modern and slick.
To the rear, the west facing garden has a decked terrace immediately from the kitchen, dining room and playroom and is the perfect spot for table and chairs. This leads to a lawned area and towards the stream at the rear, which is below ground level. Opposite the playing fields of Hassocks Infant school, you’re not overlooked and enjoy plenty of privacy. To the front, the high hedging also provides privacy and there is off road parking for two cars. The front part of what was the garage provides really useful storage for bikes and outdoor equipment.

Location. We think the location of this home on Grand Avenue is perfect. Turn right out of your front door and you are moments from a bustling High Street. As you hit the parade of shops, there is a range of independent stores and nationally recognised brands. A vibrant community, there is plenty to offer, from schools for all ages; Hassocks Infants, Windmills Primary and Downlands Secondary School, to coffee shops and restaurants. Importantly for commuters, Hassocks train station can be reached within 5-10 minutes on foot. Published trains to London Bridge are both within an hour, whilst to Brighton it is less than 15 minutes. Nearby villages include Hurstpierpoint to the west and Ditchling to the east. All three villages are on the cusp of the South Downs National Park, providing an abundance of outdoor activity.
