CASA MICARA

Casa Micara is a large and elegant top floor apartment in a gated complex in a desirable residential area of Frascati. The complex consists of four purpose built villas, set amidst cobbled walkways and tall hedges for complete privacy, each divided into four luxury apartments.

The apartment is arranged across two floors of the villa, with a terrace and balcony, and attractive views.

The main floor has been reconfigured, incorporating space that could have been used for a further bedroom to create a striking spacious and open living area, with a terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, and, opening straight from the living area, an elegant modern kitchen.

On this level, there is also a 'night zone' - a corridor, flanked by storage, leads to two bedrooms and an attractive bathroom. The master bedroom has a generous walk-in wardrobe, and both bedrooms open onto a wide wrap-around balcony.

A curving flight of stairs leads up from the living area to the upper floor, where is there is a very large open space, furnished in a more casual style, with colour changing lights over the tv. There is ample built in storage at either end, as well as a large laundry area. There is another room on this level, currently furnished as a bedroom, as well as a further bathroom.

The complex has ample parking, and the apartment comes with its own assigned 12 square metre space.

The apartment is very light, and benefits from open views, because it overlooks a park where there are the remains of an ancient roman-era olive oil mill - this area can therefore never be built on because of its archaeological significance and will always remain a park.

The complex has good road access, and it is also only a short walk to a shopping centre for all your daily needs. Frascati benefits from many charming cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. The historic centre of Frascati itself is only a few minutes drive away.. Frascati is situated 20 kms south-east of Rome and is only a 35 minutes drive to Rome airport.


FRASCATI

The earliest archaeological findings at Frascati date back to late Republican Rome, was first fortified in 1460, with its cathedral built from 1598 (sadly bombed in WWII), and it is known for its many stunning villas, first among the Villa Aldobrandini. Frascati has appeared in many different historical contexts: the first free public school in Europe which was founded in Frascati in 1616; it was the only city to open its doors to those flee the plague in Rome; it boasts a number of important research laboratories, including the Earth Observation of the European Space Agency; and of course it is well known for its wine of the same name.

The elegant town centre is beautiful to stroll around, and has many restaurants and attractive shops.
