San Giovanni alla Vena (Pisa), a historic village that has been mentioned by Bishop Alberico among the diocesan properties since 1975 AD. It is a historic place where the historic Battle of Bagno alla Vena between the armies of Pisa and Florence took place in 1363. Famous is the church of San Giovanni Evangelista, dating back to the early centuries AD and completely restored between 1828 and 1838. Other notable monuments include the oratory of San Rocco, the oratory of Santa Croce in Castellare, and the chapel of the Holy Crucifix.
