What are the neighbours like?
Very international, and very friendly. Through the Residents App, there is a very large community, and it is very easy to connect with like minded people.
What attracted you to this specific house and location?
The iconic building, the very high spec, the beautiful design, all amenities around, Sloane Square and the heart of London just across the river, the new Northern Line extension and of course Battersea Park
what would you like to tell parents about the benefits of raising children here?
Extremely safe (there are security agents patrolling night and day, no traffic so kids can run around and ride their bike in front of the power station), proximity to the park with endless options for children (we have 2 sons and spend our weekends in the park), easy to commute
What made you choose this property over the other the others that were available?
All of the above + the perfect layout (duplex, 3-bed) for our family
How convenient is it for commuting from here?
Very. New Northern line extension means you get to pretty much all other tube lines very quickly. We also have 1 parking space with EV charging. Very valuable given total absence of street parking.
What can you tell us about the history of the property and how it has been adapted by previous owners?
We are the first owners / occupiers. The particularity of this appartement is that it was initially a 2-bed then transformed into a 3-bed on demand. This means it is the cheapest 3-bed in the entire Power Station.
Who do you think would be the ideal next owner?
It can appeal to pretty much anyone. A young couple needing WFH space, parents with 2 kids, a pied à tare for international buyers, etc
What changes have you made to the house since you've owned it?
I made the sinks larger, I added storage space. And some painting
What's your favourite room and why?
The upstairs living room. Very cosy, very quiet, we spend quality family time there
What do you love about the house the most now?
How quiet it is, in the middle of a pretty lively neighbourhood
What will you miss most?
The park, the quality of the apartment, the quietness
why have you decided to move on?
We are moving back to France
