For the commuter Ipswich mainline station and the A12/A14 are within easy reach, as is from here the A140 to Norwich. Further north is the market town of Woodbridge and nearby Martlesham with a superb retail park. Fynn Valley Golf Club is nearby and the ever popular Fountain pub/restaurant is situated in the village.
