Description
This is a highly desirable part of Harlow. This property is situated in a cul de sac which means no speeding traffic, and the traffic that there is, travels slowly and therefore quietly.
The property itself has lots to offer whoever are going to be the lucky new owners. For car owning families, access is via the rear of the property. There is a private small drive and then there is this bespoke steel sliding gate that allows access to a hard standing area big enough for 3/4 cars. This entire area is undercover which is a massive bonus! Alternatively there is a garage next to the sliding door with side access into the rear garden.
Unusually, I am starting with the rear garden because It is in itself, unusual and at the same time lovely. At the back of the garden as I have already said is this bespoke sliding door & stand alone garage. There is this hard standing with room for 3/4 cars, a garden shed, a nice size greenhouse & a very large workshop. The owner was an avid vintage car & bike enthusiast and whilst it will undoubtedly still have some of his 'stuff' inside when people are viewing this cracking property, you will still be able to see its size and the many uses a space this large could have. The main part of the garden has been thoughtfully designed over the years and has been developed into sections with small lawns & a plethora of established trees, shrubs and flowerbeds. There is a large pond full of beautiful goldfish & some Koi with a waterfall and a bridge that crosses the water at its central point. There is a large patio area that wraps around the extra large conservatory. This green space is a haven for wildlife that's encouraged to eat and drink via the bird feeders and the pond. If this property was mine I would spend every single minute that I could just sitting down and chilling with a cuppa or perhaps something a little stronger! I make no apology in starting with the outdoor rear space. It's a glorious garden.
The property itself was originally a 3 bedroom house with a downstairs bathroom. This was actually quite a common configuration back in the 30's & 40's. However, it didn't really suit the owners as would might expect and some years ago they reconfigured it by doing away with the smaller of the three bedrooms and created an upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom still remains and has been modernised into a room with a walk in shower, WC & wash basin. It has been tastefully tiled on the walls as well as the floor.
There is a nice size lounge that has a large bay window overlooking the good size front garden. There is another large window at the far end of the lounge that looks into the conservatory.
The kitchen / diner is fully fitted and comes with all the usual white goods. There is a gas hob & electric oven. There's a nice ceramic sink & drainer with a large window that overlooks the detached side of the property. There is another window that overlooks the rear garden. The door from the kitchen leads into the extra large bespoke conservatory. This chunk of a conservatory covers virtually the entire width of the property and allows beautiful views over the rear garden. It is large enough to house lots of relevant furniture and it has roof blinds fitted to stave off the sun in the warmer months. Again, if mine, I would spend an awful lot of time here!
Upstairs we find two bedrooms. Both are doubles. Bedroom 1 is a very large double with windows at either end that overlook the front & the rear of the property respectively. It benefits from 4 fitted wardrobes of various sizes.
Bedroom 2 is a normal sized double bedroom and has a large window that overlooks the rear garden.
Upstairs, we also find the family bathroom that has a walk in shower, WC & wash basin with integrated furniture.
This property also has a larger than average front garden that is full of established trees, shrubs & flowerbeds.
In conclusion, we have a very large two bedroom family home with large front and back gardens, a huge conservatory, two double bedrooms and a large workshop & garage.
It is a property that allows the occupants complete privacy because of its rear entrance and it is located in an extremely quiet cul de sac.
Will it be everyone's cup of tea? No. No property is. BUT, I have no doubt that those that do, will not only like it, they will love it! It has so much going for it, and not just because of the property itself.
