The property is in a village of Apokoronas, about 4 km from Lake Kournas and 5 km from the long, sandy beach of Kavros. The building is a renovated old Venetian stone building that was extended and has been configured into two independent spaces that share a common courtyard. The property has a southern orientation and is located at the edge of the village, at a point from where the views are excellent and unobstructed towards the verdant hills that surround it.

The area of the ground-floor spaces is approximately 55 m² while additional wooden lofts have been added internally. The yard has a metal gate. From there, two doors open into two independent spaces, which can be configured as two studios but functionally at the moment constitute a single residence.

The village has many small guesthouses, taverns, beautiful buildings, traditional cafes and mini markets that are open all year round. The area is suitable for hiking in nature and around the village there are forests and countless olive groves. In Kavros you will find a big supermarket and some more shops. The long beach has sand and many areas with facilities or quieter places. Within 15 minutes' drive are the small town and the beach of Georgioupolis, where there are several shops and services. The cities of Rethymnon and Chania are about 30 and 45 minutes' drive, respectively.
