The residence is in a picturesque neighborhood, 10 minutes north of the seaside small town of Paleochora. Many of the surrounding houses are abandoned and the spot is extremely quiet while you can only hear the wind and the sounds of nature. A path passes by all the houses of the neighborhood that are built on a hillside. An asphalt road reaches the residence, 100 m away from the one side and 50 m from the other. Crossing the path is a journey back in time while the views in a large section are impressive over the verdant valley of the river Kakodikianos and up to the sea in the background. If requested, the path can be opened before the purchase of the property to a width sufficient, among other things, for the necessary repair works to be carried out.

The area is verdant and in a short distance there are many picturesque villages, traditional taverns and places of historical interest that are worth exploring. The nearby Palaiochora has all kinds of shops and services that remain open all year round, while during the tourist season it is crowded with many more restaurants and leisure areas. In Paleochora you will find long beaches with many areas with facilities or quieter places. There is also a port with regular routes along the southern coast of the prefecture and up to the beautiful island of Gavdos. The city of Chania is an hour and 15 minutes' drive away while the airport is about an hour and 30 minutes. The property can become a beautiful guest house for tourist purposes or for your own use if you are looking for complete tranquility in a picturesque location in nature.
