SITUATION
Green Farm Barns are located on the edge of the Melton Hall Park Estate sitting in a quiet location between the villages of Melton Constable and Hindolveston. This is stunning North Norfolk countryside with panoramic views of wildflower water meadows, fields and woodlands. To the east the vista stretches down to the Melton deer park. Green Farm Barns is just fifteen minutes from the award-winning town of Holt and around twenty minutes to the sea. Independent nurseries and schools nearby are outstanding and include Greshams Pre-Prep and Prep, and Norwich School (50 minutes).
There are currently three barns being developed and The Great Barn is the largest, the other barns available are The Granary Barn, a three-bedroom barn and The Courtyard Barn which will have four bedrooms. A fourth barn conversion of a more modern barn will be available on the site.
Nearby, Melton Constable Village was developed in the 1880s as a railway town and was at the junction of four railway routes crossing Norfolk. It is a small village with good independent food shops including butchers, a general store/post office and a garage. The village also has a primary school and a doctor's surgery.
The picturesque market town of Holt is a short drive away and is renowned for its attractive street frontages, Greshams Schools and a wide range of independent shops and boutiques.
There is a buzz in the air as the region enjoys everything on offer from locally sourced butchers, fishmongers and farmers markets to artisan bakers, cool coffee shops, restaurants, delicatessens, up-market farm shops and art galleries.
The town of Fakenham also offers schooling for all ages, medical centres, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, garages and a cinema. Fakenham is transformed by its weekly market, with a farmer's market monthly and at least twelve race days a year held at Fakenham Racecourse - one of the finest national hunt racecourses in the country.
There are mainline train stations at Norwich (to Liverpool St), Kings Lynn (to Kings Cross) and Downham Market (Kings Lynn line). The cathedral city of Norwich is renowned for its shopping and cultural facilities and also benefits from an international airport.
