Description

Lane End is believed to date from the late eighteenth century displaying features of that period and with individual character, south facing and with good appointments, all comfortably arranged over two floors. Three most pleasing, sunny reception rooms lead from a large central reception hall and an easy rising and wide staircase, to a well proportioned first floor. There are most attractive country views from several rooms, particularly from the first floor to the west, over the adjoining fields and in part embracing the distant St Mary’s Church tower in the village, the River Wey and the countryside beyond. The original porch displays stone dressings and a sundial and the elevations are of mellow brick with leaded light and square pane timber casement and some oriel windows, under a tiled roof. An old wisteria dresses the front elevation.
