Description

Why buy this home?

As you step through the front door, you're welcomed by a bright entrance hall with high ceilings and tiled floors. On the left, you'll find a spacious living room, this room has a large window which allows for lots of natural light to flow through, featuring an original tiled working fireplace, ideal for cosy winter evenings. The alcoves on either side of the chimney breast offer extra storage and shelving.

Moving through the property, you'll enter an open plan kitchen/dining area. The dining room is particularly roomy, currently housing a six seater table, but it could easily accommodate a larger one for family gatherings. Period details, such as the Rawlins Hawtin & Co original fireplace with a bread oven, adds character to the space. Two generous storage cupboards and solid wood flooring really enhances this room's charm.

From the dining room, you'll find another door for access to the cellar, which is currently used for additional storage. The cellar has already been tanked by the current owners, making it a potential space for conversion if needed.

The kitchen itself is well equipped with cream shaker style units, ample cupboard space and Quartz worktop, there is a range style double oven and grill and is space for a full size fridge/freezer and washing machine. A newly fitted downstairs WC is conveniently located near the back door.

One of the standout features of this property is the garage that is situated at the end of the garden, so you do have parking in the garage for at least one car, which is unusual for a Victorian terrace property within the area. The garden itself is a good size and has a decking area closest to the house, perfect for alfresco dining in the summer and the remainder of the garden is laid to lawn.

Back into the property and taking the stairs to the first floor, you come to the family bathroom, refurbished in 2021, with a double ended bath with shower over, fully tiled walls throughout, a heated towel rail and lots more additional storage space.

On the first floor you have bedrooms one and two, both of which are good size doubles, both have two alcove spaces which are great for adding wardrobes, both rooms would fit either double or king sized bed and have the room for a chest of drawers or additional bedroom furniture if needed. Bedroom four is also on this floor and is a single but would make an ideal children's or home office. There is another storage cupboard in the hallway which would be ideal for keeping towels and bedding. Taking the stairs up the second floor is where you have the final bedroom, bedroom three is also a good size double with plenty of room for additional bedroom furniture. While there's slightly restricted headroom at the edges due to the loft conversion, the space is still comfortable and functional.

Additionally, the property includes 9 Feed-in solar panels, the current owners receive money back every quarter. For more details on the solar panels, please get in contact. Please note bedrooms two and three have been virtually furnished for marketing purposes.

More about the location...

Wolverton is located in the north-west of Milton Keynes, beside the West Coast Main Line, the Grand Union Canal and the river Great Ouse.

Running through the town (and effectively serving as its high street) is Stratford Road, which runs westwards towards Stony Stratford and eastwards towards Newport Pagnell (and is also known as Newport Road or Wolverton Road on parts of its route). The town is also served by some major grid roads, such as Grafton Street (V6), which runs southwards towards Central Milton Keynes and Bletchley, and Monks Way (H3, A422), which runs eastwards towards Newport Pagnell and Bedford.

For accessing national routes, the A5 (towards Towcester or Dunstable), the A422 westbound (towards Buckingham) and the A508 (towards Northampton) meet about 2 miles (3.2 km) to the west of the town, at a roundabout just north of Old Stratford.

The town is home to a railway station on the West Coast Main Line which has recently been upgraded and now offers trains every 30 minutes to London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
