Description
Description
Situated in a conservation area, The Old Smithy is set back from the road, behind the old village smithy from which the property takes its name.
The house itself was built in the 1970s and, extending to nearly1900 sq. ft, accommodation is ideal for family living. There is a large double aspect siting room which opens out to a pretty conservatory, a dining room and snug, which could be used as play room or home office depending on needs. The kitchen, which has a side door to the garden, has a breakfast bar area, an electric professional range oven and integrated dishwasher. On the first floor the principal bedroom with views over the rear garden has an ensuite bathroom. There are three further bedrooms, one with dressing/study area and a family bathroom.
The large enclosed, level gardens to the rear are mainly laid to lawn, and ideal for children and pets. With established shrubs and hedging, there are two terrace areas, one outside the conservatory and another pergola covered area at the end of the garden.
The detached stone outbuilding, the old smithy, is believed to date from the 19th century and today provides a very useful double garage, workshop and gym. Extending to about 630 sq. ft it is a most beneficial asset to the property with further potential for other uses subject to relevant consents.
Agents note: The property enjoys right of access over the first part of the drive.
