Chicklade is a pretty roadside village in the heart of rolling Wiltshire downland which has beautiful walking and good horse riding routes. More comprehensive facilities can be found in the Cathedral city of Salisbury and nearby towns of Shaftesbury and Warminster.

The village is easily accessible to both the east and west via the A303. There are main line train stations at Warminster with direct access to Bath, Bristol and South Wales, and at Tisbury, Gillingham and Salisbury offering a fast direct train service to London Waterloo. There is a very good selection of schools in the locality including Hindon, Wardour, Tisbury and Semley primary schools, Shaftesbury and Gillingham senior schools plus private education at Port Regis, Bryanston, Clayesmore and Sandroyd near Shaftesbury as well as a host of excellent schools in Salisbury.

There is a large lawned garden which has several mature borders as well as a patio area which is accessible from the kitchen. The patio offers plenty of opportunity for outdoor dining and is a private entertaining space.
