A lovely two double bedroom garden flat on a residential, tree-lined residential street in the St Johns conservation area. This is a perfect first time purchase in a very up and coming part of South East London.

A message from the vendors.

We moved here during the pandemic and it quickly felt like home. We really enjoy the big front room with its high ceiling and fireplace, a real treat in the winter. The wooden floors are also a favourite. We spent a lot of time sanding and refilling them when we first moved in, and it was definitely worth it! We’ve really appreciated having the space for a big dining table to host our friends and family, and the garden has been wonderful, particularly when the tulips bloom in spring beneath the eucalyptus tree. Our favourite part, though, is the view from the bedroom window in the morning, looking through the sliding doors directly into the garden. We are sad to leave it but know that it will be a sanctuary for its next caretakers.

The no-through road at the front was such a welcome change from our last flat in London. St Johns station means the trains slow right down, and it’s much quieter than London’s usual soundtrack of traffic noise and sirens. It’s really about how easy it is to get around – for work, Cannon Street is just 15 minutes away, and London Bridge is nearby for evenings drinks on Bermondsey Street.

St Johns itself has such a lovely community feel, and we’ve been really fortunate to have great neighbours who made us feel welcome from the start. We enjoy going to Brockley Market on Saturdays for bao buns or burgers, followed by a walk around Hilly Fields. We’ve found wonderful bits for the flat at Aladdin’s Cave and love eating out at the Brookmill or the Talbot. It has been a truly happy home for us, which we have cared for carefully and attentively, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Welcome to Strickland.

Our vision from the start was to build a property company that people are proud to say they use whether they are buying, selling, letting or renting a property. We are committed to making the process a happy and memorable experience that fits seamlessly into modern-day living.

We have built a friendly, local, independent company which allows us to deliver a service that is honest and transparent while being cutting-edge and results driven. We provide you with everything you'd expect from an estate agent minus the 'sales pitch'.

We live in a digital age and whilst we embrace modern technology to deliver effective results for our clients, customer excellence remains at the core of our business and always will. We live, work and socialise in the communities that we cover and because of this we know the areas exceptionally well. Here at Strickland we are focused on keeping our business local, from supporting other local start-ups to partnering with small businesses and suppliers. We're also very passionate about giving back to the communities that we grew up in and we make a personal pledge each year to volunteer our own time to help tackle homelessness.

Strickland provides comprehensive coverage of Deptford, Brockley, New cross, Lewisham, Greenwich and the surrounding areas. We offer a personalised and flexible service, available 7 days a week and we are not restricted to typical office hours.

Whatever your property needs we would love to hear from you.
