Location
The small hamlet of Lincombe sits just above the coastal village of Lee Bay which is renowned for its kayaking, fishing and spear-fishing, and offers a wonderfully secluded hidden gem of a beach which can only be accessed when the tide is right and which is a firm favourite with the locals in the summer!
Those seeking surfing beaches have only a short drive to reach the 3 mile golden sands of Woolacombe & Putsborough and a little further those of Croyde and Saunton. Spending the day surfing the waves on these very popular beaches and being able to retreat from the hubble bubble, through fuchsia lined lanes, to this scenic village is considered the icing on the cake for many.
The nearby larger village of Braunton provides a wide range of local amenities to include post office, health centre, three primary schools, senior school, pubs, restaurants, library and a range of shops.
North Devon's regional centre of Barnstaple is about 14 miles and houses the area's main business commercial, entertainment and shopping venues. With a fabulous mix of Victorian & Georgian architecture along with an extensive range of both business & leisure facilities, banks & post office.
The North Devon link road can be accessed at Barnstaple and provides the link to the M5 at Tiverton, junction 27. Tiverton Parkway railway station has regular mainline services to London Paddington in just over 2 hours.
