The neighbouring village of Hatherop provides a primary school and private education with Hatherop Castle School, whilst the nearest state secondary school is Farmor's in Fairford, some three miles away.

Continue for about 5.3 miles into the village of Quenington and at the crossroads, turn left out of the village and proceed downhill to follow the river along the bottom of the valley and into the village of Coln St Aldwyns.
