Description

Welcome to Higgledy Piggledy - A fantastic four bed detached family home located on a good-sized plot with garage and driveway parking, beautifully landscaped gardens, a swimming pool and gorgeous countryside views.

Constructed in the 1990's, in the heart of a lovely little rural village, this beautifully presented property offers spacious accommodation across three floors. The large, mature gardens are a key stand-out feature. They provide a lush oasis with an array of specimen plants and trees, manicured lawns, numerous patio seating areas, a stunning water feature and several useful garden buildings, all with light and power connected. The wonderful swimming pool is great for relaxation and exercise and is heated by an air source heat pump. It is worth noting that, although there are neighbouring properties, the pool area and gardens are very private, thanks to the well-established planting around the boundaries. The lower garden has a lovely summerhouse and enjoys open aspects with breathtaking views across the adjoining countryside. At the foot of the garden is a separate vegetable garden with timber workshop. The driveway at the front of the house provides parking for several cars and gives access to the integral garage.

The accommodation is spread over three floors. The ground floor is accessed from the front driveway via the porch and is where you will find the main living area, with a cosy living room, a bright and spacious dining room and a modern kitchen with breakfast bar, electric oven, hob and microwave. A door from the kitchen gives access to the garage. The first floor is where you get the best of the countryside views and you'll find two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. The lower ground floor hosts two further double bedrooms, a smart shower room and a lovely conservatory which leads out to the swimming pool area.

Location:

Porkellis is a small, rural village located in Cornwall. It's situated in the southwest of the county, roughly halfway between Helston and Redruth, making it part of the scenic area known as West Cornwall. The village itself is fairly quiet, typical of rural Cornish settlements, with a community that is closely tied to the surrounding countryside.

The area around Porkellis is known for its stunning natural beauty, with rolling hills, woodlands, and plenty of green space. It’s not far from the coast either, so you’ll find that there’s easy access to Cornwall’s famous beaches and coastline. Porkellis also lies near the old mining areas that were once central to Cornwall’s industrial history, and some nearby sites are part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, which has been recognized by UNESCO.

The village itself has a few houses, a well-regarded local pub, and the usual village amenities, but it’s not a bustling tourist destination, so it’s often a peaceful place to visit or live. It's ideal for those who want to get away from the crowds and experience more of Cornwall’s traditional rural life.

AGENTS NOTE: Our clients have informed us that the property was built in the proximity of historic mine workings. We understand professional remedial works and capping were carried out prior to construction, that all planning regulations were approved and mining reports are in place and are available for inspection. We would in any event recommend that you raise this with your conveyancer to satisfy yourself in this regard before proceeding. Please contact Country & Waterside for further details.
