Situated in a peaceful and private position on the edge of the Alde Valley, Foxhill is an historic Grade II listed house, believed to date from the late 15th Century, built of rendered elevations and timber frame under a pantile roof. Typical of the Tudor period it has a wealth of fine period detail including exposed beams, timber mullion windows and ledged doors.

The living accommodation is arranged over three floors, there are lovely views across the gardens on the ground floor and the countryside beyond from the upper rooms. The front door opens into the entrance hall with stairs to the first floor and cloakroom. A door leads to the light and airy sitting room which has an inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner. There is deep storage to one side of the fireplace and a snug which is separated by exposed wall studs and a door provides access to the garden.

The kitchen is fitted with a range of painted wall and base mounted cupboard and drawer units with tiled worktops and splash backs. There is space for a cooker, fridge and washing machine. At one end of the kitchen is a breakfast area and at the other a door opens to the garden. A door opens to the dining room with a brick fireplace with deep storage cupboard to one side.

On the first floor are three bedrooms, the main bedroom having an en-suite shower and basin. There is a family bathroom serving the other bedrooms. Steps ascend from the landing to the second floor which has a guest bedroom and attic store room.

Outside
Foxhill is approached via a gravel driveway which provides ample turning space and parking for several cars. Adjacent to the drive is a detached garage/workshop with twin up and over doors, power and light. There is a car port/ covered store area with adjacent log store.

The gardens are beautiful and planted with a wide variety of plants and shrubs, creating a picturesque backdrop to the house. A paved terrace to the rear of the house overlooks a sweeping lawn with a wildlife pond and numerous trees and shrubs including apple, almond, pear and flowering cherry. At the side of the house is a further area of garden with clipped box balls, fruit trees, wild flowers, herb and herbaceous beds.

To the west of the house is a wild flower meadow and area of orchard.
