Seller's Insight:
We have loved living at Mireystock House. The elegant stand-alone former vicarage takes centre stage in a beautiful and sunny garden, watching the magical show of the changing seasons and wildlife midst the Forest of Dean. There are so many activities nearby - walking or cycling straight from the door onto clearly marked trails, the golf course is a five-minute drive away, canoeing or paddleboarding on the beautiful River Wye is a two-minute drive, and there are many more activities on offer nearby, such as the Cycle Centre, Go Ape Forest Adventure, Steam Railways, Clearwell Caves and Lydney Harbour and Puzzlewood.
The home offers a luxurious and fun lifestyle. We can keep fit in the heated indoor swimming pool, relax in the steam cabin or drink coffee on a lounger whilst listening to music. We can also pick fresh produce from the kitchen garden and greenhouse during the warmer months. During the colder seasons, we can return from a crisp winter walk to our log burning fire and hot soup in the slow cooker.
The Coach House annexe is great for socialising. We can invite family and friends to stay for a weekend of activities and merriment, finishing in Mireystock's very own "Pub", the "Snooker Room Bar"! Singing, dancing, karaoke, playing snooker, playing drums and guitars, dancing in the courtyard at barbecue parties - all with no neighbours to disturb.

The home at a glance:
Mireystock House offers the feeling of permanently being on a luxurious holiday. The property is in a lovely setting within the Forest of Dean, occupants can enjoy the changing colours of the landscape as the seasons come and go. Undiscovered pathways through the ancient woodland are easily accessible as are marked routes and cycle paths providing ample opportunity to observe the wildlife. As Mireystock House boasts total privacy; occupants can play music enthusiastically without fear of upsetting any neighbours or, if they prefer, they can enjoy the natural forest cacophony.
The main home was constructed in the 1930s its architect inspired by the arts and crafts movement, which favoured asymmetrical design and natural influences. The property itself has been professionally laid out by an interior designer with the simple brief of harmonising the colours of the surrounding natural landscape and its seasonal changes. For instance, warm hues in the lounge - which boasts a wood burning stove framed by an elegant cream marble fireplace - accentuate the lovely, deep, red-coloured tree in the garden. Likewise, the dual-aspect south and east-facing bedroom has been furnished to highlight the frost-kissed trees during winter.
There are three generous double bedrooms in the main home, one of which boasts a chic en-suite with Mandarin Stone tiles, a large walk-in shower and vanity unit, with attractive natural stone basin. In addition, there is a three-piece family bathroom and additionally a separate WC, all situated off the spacious attractive galleried landing.
On the ground floor there is ample space for families to congregate, as there are two reception rooms, a generous reception hallway, as well as a beautifully bright dining kitchen, with a conservatory living space attached.
The Coach House Annexe adds the versatile additional wow factor. The ground floor carries a heated indoor swimming pool, as well as a changing room that boasts a steam shower cabin, complete with a rain shower, two additional showers, steam jets and feature lighting. In additional there is a WC, a washing machine and utility area. Upstairs, there is a substantial entertainment/games room with its own functioning bar, plus a stage area. There are two recently refurbished double bedrooms, a further shower room/WC, along with a spacious and functional home office.
The established gardens offer enjoyable areas, such as the lily pond with pebble beach, viewed from the conservatory; the upper garden level lawn, which presents an ideal spot for family games such as croquet or boules, and six raised beds in the kitchen gardens, plus a greenhouse - presenting ample opportunity to cultivate the freshest food imaginable.
In terms of parking, in addition to the substantial double garage (with electric up and over door) situated within The Coach House, there is a generous driveway, along with an enclosed courtyard, all of which is secured behind a set of hardwood electronic double gates.

Location:
